hi i'm tulip.
18 y/o. builder, generative ai engineer, filmmaker, product guy. i love making things for others, even if half of them break along the way.
i started out messing with 3d software on an old laptop — blender, maya, lightwave — all trial versions. then came code. i hacked clones, failed fast, but learned how to make stuff that feels alive. hackathons became home — the one place where ideas weren’t too much.
been part of delta by the residency and buildspace s5. those rooms taught me that if you put yourself around ambitious, slightly delusional people, wild shit happens.
hackathons? too many. highlights: hackdotSlash 5.0 @ svnit, hackspire @ adani uni. i build fast, pitch faster, and most importantly, i ship.
made useaiflix inside delta — a weird experiment turned real project. then usehorizon — a canvas/moodboard platform with image gen baked in. kinda crazy, still alive. and freespeak — inspired by farza’s freewrite but built for me, where i journal by talking instead of typing.
i freelance too — sold ai videos for a jewelry brand, built wrappers + apis, selling ai as a service. right now i’m also making ai content with @bundled.design. my playground is llms, wrappers, and making generative ai actually useful.
i overthink, don’t sleep much. long distance eats at me, college feels like a joke but i need the paper. still — i’d rather chase messy ideas than sit still.
some of it works. most of it doesn’t. but i learn. and i’ll keep learning, building, shipping, and screwing up. it’s the only way forward.
short-term: scale idealab, stack more projects, win more hackathons, sharpen as a generative ai engineer + filmmaker.
long-term: san francisco. building companies, films, tech, and stories that outlive me.
sometimes i write about my fuckups or when things actually go right. if you wanna know when i do, drop your email below.
